Yesterday was National Golf Day! Celebrate the game of golf. I love this game - I have made so many friends playing this game, have had great rounds and not so great rounds, won and lost tournaments by a shot.
It's thriving here in Lancaster County and beyond. Lancaster Country Club dates to 1900, Meadia Heights to 1922, and Conestoga Country Club will be celebrating 75 years of golf this year. Overlook Golf course has been around a long time as well. Next year in 2024, Lancaster Country Club will be hosting the 79th US Women's Open.
The Lanco Golf Association has been around for a long time and the Lancaster Ladies City-County Golf Association has been in existence since 1963.
